This page says what judasfeast.com keeps about you and why.
If you only read
Nothing. Reading the site sets no cookies and creates no profile. Visits to each recipe are counted as an anonymous total. There are no advertising or analytics trackers.
If you make an account
The site keeps:
- your user name, display name and email address,
- your password, stored only as a salted hash (it cannot be read),
- a sign-in cookie (
jf.auth) that keeps you signed in and is removed when you sign out, - what you do while signed in: your reactions and any comments you post.
This is used to let you react, comment and chat, to keep spam out, and to email you about your account (confirming your address, resetting a password). Your display name appears next to your reactions and comments. Your email address is never shown to anyone.
Chat
The page chat is live only. Messages are not saved; they disappear when everyone leaves the page.
Contact form
A message sent through the contact form, and its email address, goes to the site's inbox and is kept until it is deleted.
Who else sees it
The site and its data run on hosted servers in the United States. Email is sent through the network's own mail server. Your data is not sold or shared, and is disclosed only if the law requires.
Your choices
Signed in, open My account to change your name or password. To see or delete everything held about you, ask through the contact page. Deleting removes your account, your reactions and your comments, and cannot be undone.
